About The WORKSHOP
One of the most iconic and historic neighborhoods in Manhattan still exists, but it’s rapidly disappearing due to gentrification. During this photo walk and workshop, we will attempt to capture some of the grittiness that remains if you look for it.
The walk begins in front of Lincoln Center, which is also explored, and then moves south down Ninth Avenue, weaving down sides-streets to the low 40’s, and ending in Times Square, offering everyone the opportunity to capture powerful night images.
I do this walk myself and love every step; the walk is never the same. The neighborhood and people will remain with you always.

THE IMAGES YOU WILL MAKE
During the walk we will be seeking unique street photo opportunities, as it’s the goal is to move away from ordinary images. While people are often hesitant about street photography because of the perceived chance of conflict, we will work on overcoming such concerns. There are several keys to making great street images, and we will review each of them.
