My friend, and photography mentor, Alan Kaplan and his wife Wendy recently visited the Omo Valley tribes in Ethiopia. Alan is a professional photographer from New York City whose clients include Orange Communications, PNC Bank, Jack Daniels, T-Mobile, Yahoo!, American Express, Nokia, Miller-Coors, Nestea, Microsoft and Citibank. But in addition to his professional portfolio, he and Wendy have worked to highlight a “commonality” through photography that is embraced by all people, regardless of cultural differences
For the last 14 years Alan and Wendy have been traveling to the edges of the world to document civilizations that could eventually be pushed out of existence.
The images and the accompanying story are breathtaking.
